The drive between Victoria Falls and Kasane is one of the most scenic border crossings in southern Africa. The 70km route passes through Zimbabwe's Zambezi National Park, where elephants, buffalo, and lion are regularly spotted from the road. But it also involves an international border crossing, and doing it independently for the first time, especially with luggage and unfamiliar roads, adds unnecessary stress to what should be a straightforward journey.

Victoria Falls → Kasane (One Way)
Driver picks you up from your Victoria Falls hotel or lodge at the agreed time. The 70km drive to the Kasungula border post takes approximately 1 hour, passing through the Zambezi National Park corridor, keep your eyes open for wildlife along the road.
At the Kasungula border, driver assists you through both Zimbabwe immigration (exit) and Botswana immigration (entry). Processing time is typically 30–45 minutes depending on queues. Once through, you continue the short drive to your Kasane hotel, Kasane airport , lodge around Kazungula or Kasane town, or directly to Chobe National Park entrance gate.
Kasane → Victoria Falls (One Way)
The reverse route works identically, hotel pickup in Kasane, border crossing assistance at Kasungula, and delivery to your Victoria Falls hotel.

Is the drive scenic?
Very. The road between Victoria Falls and the Kasungula border passes through the Zambezi National Park wildlife corridor. Elephant crossings are common, it's not unusual to be stopped by a herd on the road. Lion, buffalo, and giraffe are also regularly spotted. Your driver knows the good spots and will point out wildlife along the way.
