Matobo National Park

Matobo National Park is one of Zimbabwe's oldest parks, famous for its giant granite boulders and rich cultural history. Located south of Bulawayo, the park covers an area of about 3,100 square kilometres. The incredible rock formations and balancing boulders make it a unique spectacle. These formations have also given the park the nickname "Matopos."

The park is not only known for its landscapes but also for its wildlife. It has one of the highest concentrations of leopards in Africa. Bird watchers can enjoy spotting the black eagle, which is often seen gliding over the rocky outcrops. There are also many other animals to see, including white and black rhinos, giraffes, and zebras.

 Key attractions and activities include:

- Rhino Tracking: Go on guided tours to track and see rhinos. It's a thrilling and educational experience.

- Historical Sites: Visit the grave of Cecil Rhodes, the founder of Rhodesia, and the ancient rock paintings by the San people.

- Hiking: Walk through the park's trails to explore its stunning rock formations and panoramic views.

Matobo National Park also holds a significant cultural value. The San rock art found here dates back thousands of years. The park is considered a sacred site by local communities. This blend of natural beauty and cultural history makes it a must-visit destination.
